Mickey Mouse Birthday Card

I made this card for a gamer friend of ours. His birthday is on the 27th so I had Mickey hold cards forming a 27. I just love these Disney Cartridges; they cut the characters perfectly.

Making the Card

1. Cut white cardstock 7 x 10 inches; fold in half to form a card base. Cut black cardstock 4 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches. Cut Disney patterned paper 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches. Adhere patterned to center of black cardstock. Stitch with sewing machine around edges. Adhere to card base.

2. Cut Mickey Mouse with Mickey and Friends Cartridge: black cardstock shadow, black cardstock base, white gloves/eyes/buttons, blue shorts, dark teal shoes. I cut his tongue and face from white cardstock then colored them with alcohol markers. You may cut the from pink and cream cardstock, respectively, if you like. Assemble.

3. Using the Micky Font, type Happy Birthday. Add the shadow. Ungroup and drag pieces away as needed so that you can weld the shadow together. I didn't bother with the letters themselves. Cut the shadow from black cardstock and the letters from pink. Assemble.

4. Die cut scribble from pink cardstock. Adhere Happy Birthday and scribble where shown. Using dimensional tape, adhere cards (I glued them to each other first) and Mickey Mouse as shown.
